Revised Manuscript Guidelines

REVISED MANUSCRIPT GUIDELINES
Revised Manuscript Guidelines
Da Nang Journal of Medicine and Pharmacy (DJMP)

When authors receive a request to revise a manuscript following peer review, they should carefully read the editorial decision, reviewer comments, and any accompanying instructions, revise the manuscript thoroughly, and respond to each comment before resubmitting through the OJS system.

DJMP requires authors to respond to each comment individually, describe the revision made, indicate the relevant page and line numbers, and provide a clear scientific explanation where they do not agree with a reviewer comment.

QUICK REVISION WORKFLOW
RECEIVE DECISION  →  READ REVIEWER COMMENTS  →  REVISE USING TRACK CHANGES  →  COMPLETE RESPONSE TO REVIEWERS  →  CREATE CLEAN VERSION  →  CHECK ANONYMITY  →  UPLOAD 3 REQUIRED FILES  →  NOTIFY THE EDITORIAL TEAM
1. REVIEW THE EDITORIAL DECISION AND REVIEWER COMMENTS
Review the Editorial Decision

After the peer-review process has been completed, authors will receive an email informing them of the Editorial Board’s decision.

① Sign in to OJS
② Open the relevant submission
③ Go to the Review stage
④ Read the editorial decision
⑤ Download and review all reviewer comments and attached review files, where applicable
IMPORTANT: Authors should read all comments from the Editorial Board and all reviewers before beginning the revision.
2. PREPARE THE RESPONSE TO REVIEWERS
Prepare the Response to Reviewers

Use the official DJMP form:

DJMP-AF07 – RESPONSE TO REVIEWERS
Author Response Form

Authors should complete the following information:

• Manuscript ID
• Manuscript Title
• Revision Round (R1/R2/R3)

R1 refers to the first round in which the authors respond to reviewer comments.

Reviewer Comment Author Response Page/Line
Comment 1 Provide a specific response and describe the revision made Page X, lines X–X
Comment 2 Author response... Page X, lines X–X
3. HOW TO RESPOND TO REVIEWERS
How to Respond to Reviewers

Authors should respond to every reviewer comment, including comments for which no change is made.

When you agree with the reviewer

Avoid writing only:

“Revised.”

Prefer:

“Thank you for this comment. We have added the exclusion criteria to the Participants and Methods section (Page 5, lines 112–118).”
When a substantial revision has been made
① What was changed → ② How it was changed → ③ Where it was changed
“In response to the reviewer’s comment, we performed an additional multivariable regression analysis and updated the results in Table 3. The corresponding text has been added on Page 8, lines 205–219.”
When you disagree with the reviewer

Authors may disagree with a reviewer comment, but they must provide a clear and scientifically reasoned explanation.

“Thank you for this comment. We respectfully propose retaining the current text because... [scientific explanation].”

Do not ignore the comment or simply state “We disagree.”

4. REQUIRED REVISION FILES
Required Revision Files
DJMP REQUIRES 3 MANDATORY FILES
Please prepare all three files before uploading the revised manuscript to OJS.
File Content File Naming

5. USING TRACK CHANGES
Track Changes

Authors must use the Track Changes function in Microsoft Word to clearly identify revisions made to the manuscript.

Track Changes Version
Retain all tracked revisions so that editors and reviewers can easily identify the changes made.
Clean Version
Accept all changes so that no Track Changes or revision markup remains visible in the manuscript.
DO NOT USE manually colored text, highlighting, or other visual markings as a substitute for Track Changes.
6. MAINTAIN ANONYMOUS PEER REVIEW
Maintain Anonymous Peer Review

DJMP uses double-anonymous peer review. Therefore, authors must ensure that no identifying information is included in the revised manuscript or the Response to Reviewers form.

☐ Author names;
☐ Institutional names or identifying institutional details where anonymity is required;
☐ Email addresses or telephone numbers;
☐ Acknowledgments that may reveal the authors’ identities;
☐ Comments in Microsoft Word;
☐ Author information shown in Track Changes;
☐ File metadata/properties that may reveal author identity.
SPECIAL ATTENTION FOR THE TRACK CHANGES FILE: Microsoft Word may display the name of the person who made revisions or comments. Authors must check and remove identifying information before uploading the file to OJS.
7. FINAL CHECK BEFORE RESUBMISSION
Final Check Before Resubmission
☐ All comments from the Editorial Board have been read and addressed.
☐ All comments from each reviewer have been answered.
☐ Each comment has been answered separately.
