Open Access Policy
Da Nang Journal of Medicine and Pharmacy (DJMP)

1. GENERAL PRINCIPLES

The Da Nang Journal of Medicine and Pharmacy (DJMP) operates an Open Access policy to promote broad access to and dissemination of scientific knowledge in medicine, pharmacy, and health sciences.

Scholarly content published by DJMP under its Open Access policy is made immediately and freely available to readers, without subscription fees or mandatory registration for access to the full text.

DJMP seeks to ensure that published articles may be read, downloaded, searched, linked to, and reused in accordance with the license applicable to each article.

2. IMMEDIATE AND FREE ACCESS

Open Access articles published by DJMP are:

• Freely available immediately upon publication;
• Not subject to an embargo period;
• Accessible without mandatory reader registration;
• Available through the Journal website.
3. USE AND REUSE

Use and reuse of published content are governed by the open license applied to the article.

Subject to the terms of the applicable license, users may be permitted to:

• Read;
• Download;
• Copy;
• Distribute;
• Print;
• Search;
• Link to the full text;
• Crawl or process the content using software;
• Reuse the material for other lawful purposes.
Such use is permitted provided that the authors, source, and applicable license are appropriately acknowledged.
4. CREATIVE COMMONS LICENSING

DJMP supports the use of Creative Commons licenses for Open Access content.

The applicable license should be clearly displayed on:

• The Journal website;
• The article landing page;
• The full-text HTML or PDF, where appropriate;
• Article metadata where supported.
DJMP will not impose additional restrictions that conflict with the terms of the selected Creative Commons license.
5. COPYRIGHT

DJMP distinguishes between:

• Copyright ownership;
• The license governing use and reuse.

As part of its Open Access model, DJMP supports arrangements under which authors retain copyright in their articles and grant the Journal the right of first publication and other necessary publishing rights.

Copyright terms must be consistent with the Open Access license applied to the article.

6. “ALL RIGHTS RESERVED”
For Open Access content, DJMP will not use an “All rights reserved” statement where such wording conflicts with the applicable open license.
7. THIRD-PARTY MATERIAL

Open Access articles may contain third-party material that is not covered by the article's open license.

Such material must be:

• Clearly identified;
• Appropriately attributed;
• Accompanied by any applicable separate copyright or licensing information;
• Used with permission where required;
• Clearly distinguished from material covered by the article’s Open Access license.
8. ARCHIVING AND SELF-ARCHIVING

DJMP supports appropriate archiving and dissemination of published articles in accordance with the applicable publication license.

Authors may be permitted to deposit versions of their articles in:

• Institutional repositories;
• Subject or research repositories;
• Personal academic profiles;
• Other appropriate platforms.

Such archiving and self-archiving must comply with the DJMP Copyright and Licensing Policy and applicable self-archiving requirements.

9. OPEN ACCESS AND PUBLICATION FEES

Open Access concerns reader access and reuse rights and does not by itself determine whether authors are charged publication fees.

Any submission, publication, or Article Processing Charges (APCs) must be stated separately in the DJMP Article Processing Charges Policy.

10. CONTINUING OPEN ACCESS

Articles published by DJMP as Open Access will remain openly accessible under the stated license, except where legal requirements or necessary post-publication actions require otherwise.

Corrections, retractions, and Expressions of Concern are handled under the DJMP Corrections, Retractions and Expressions of Concern Policy.

11. TRANSPARENCY
